Selfish Colleague

In the cubicle, they sit alone,
Guarding work like a hidden throne.
A team effort lost in silent walls,
They never hear the duty calls.

Ideas shared, but they withhold,
Chasing credit, their heart turns cold.
Projects rise, and projects fall,
Yet they never seem to share at all.

When deadlines near and stress takes hold,
They walk away, detached, so bold.
The load we bear, they never see,
Their world spins in their own decree.

Yet teamwork thrives when hearts combine,
When we uplift, not undermine.
A selfish soul may take their gain,
But true success leaves no such stain.

So let them sit with all their pride,
While we build bridges, far and wide.
For selfish hearts may one day see,
The best of work is done in we.
